Billings 2011 Part 2

Yesterday we left off at the adorable Otter picture.

After the zoo we headed to a neat old fashioned candy store and the kids had a blast spending one of their saved money. Sunday night was Passover. The plan was to wear out the children so they would snooze during the service. The plan work well. We even moved them to the car and back into the house and into bed with one Flora waking up just a tad! 

Monday we got the kids together to play and then enjoyed a Night To Be Remembered Dinner.

 Tuesday was the High Day and we enjoyed a day full of fellowship with our dear friends.

Wednesday morning saw us loading up and driving home. After a long day of uneventful driving we arrived home. We had a very enjoyable visit but are all happy to be back home.

Billings 2011 (Part 1)

As I am sitting here, watching the snow fall and editing pictures from our trip, I am feeling very thankful. We had the ability to spend part of the Spring Holy days with dear friends. See some stunning things and came home safe, tired and filled. 

 

 

 

Thursday night was a late one getting the" last second" things done and ready for an early start Friday morning. 

The alarm went off and Aaron and I got up and made some coffee and started in getting the last few things into the car. Got the kids up and dressed and loaded up. Lyla and Millie were NOT happy at us and looked very dejected as we drove off. 

 

 

A quick(ish) stop in the next biggest town for coffee and gas and then we headed for the Montana border. 

 

 

After spending all day in the car, with some stops for forgotten items and potty/coffee breaks we arrived in Billings to a lovely Sabbath dinner made my our host. After that, we headed over to some very dear friends and got in a visit before heading off to bed.

Sabbath was spend in fellowship with dear friends and listening to some great teaching.

Sunday was spend with the Moores wearing the kids out. The plan was to get our kids so tired that they would sleep during the Passover service (foot washing, taking of the bread and wine). So we braved a few rain drops and headed to the Zoo.

The Zoo was fun, a bit wet toward the end, but the kids (and the Big Ups) had a great time. We saw a tiger.

A couple of eagles. They were not caged in, they had free range and Mrs. Moore said you see them flying around the area often. How neat is that!

My To-DO List

I am deep in the middle of cleaning for the Day's of Unleavened Bread. We have all the leavening out, now, to keep going with good deep cleaning!

This is my list to get done with week *by Thursday*:

Livingroom: 

• dust (part way there....)
• vac couch and chair. Shampoo both.
• move everything and sweep and mop
• Tidy remodel materials
• get table set back up for use 
• wash window and curtains
• clean off desk and corner cab, organize! (part way there)

Kitchen: 

• wash out cupboards
• clean out freezers and frig.
• Clean oven (yahoo, first time with a self cleaning oven! LOVE IT!)
• sweep and mop (done at the same time as the living room)
• wash window

 Hallway/laundry:

• finish laundry (one load away)
• wash walls/doors and base boards
• vac/sweep/mop
• dust
• shampoo carpet
• tidy on top of washer and dryer and wash down

Bathroom:

• scrub down tub, sink toilet
• wash walls and base boards
• dust
• sweep/mop

Girls Bedroom:

• toys way, washed as needed
• clothing away
• change bedding
• dust
• wash walls/door
• vacuum and shampoo carpets
• wash window

Master Bedroom:

• Go through clothing
• clean bedding
• dust
• wash window and curtains
• vacuum and shampoo carpet

Pantry and Entryway: 

• go through shoe tub
• clean Peter Rabbits cage
• tidy pantry
• dust
• wash walls/door and windows
• sweep and mop floors
• change smoke dectector batteries all over house

Misc: 

• Get clothing ready
• prepare food
• Clean car/carseats

I so enjoy getting things deeply clean again! It's been a rather dusty winter with the remodel going on!

Feeling a Bit Better... *EDITED!*

...and am on the mend. Thanks for the prayers.
* Flora and Andrew are now down with round two. I can not believe this. 2 different colds in like, 2 weeks. Satan sure is targeting us this Fall Holy Day season! Please pray that I can remain stress-free and get everything done I need to, while still not feeling 100%!*

I pray everyone had a wonderful Day of Atonement and are having fun getting ready for the Feast! This is most likely be my last post until into October. We are just going to be so busy getting ready for the Feast, etc. 

I pray you all have a wonderful, filling time!

Feast Things

It's count down to Feast time. We like to put together bags for each of the kids with little gifts, usually quite activities as their gifts from Momma and Daddy. Things like new crayons, markers and colored pencils. Scissors, glue and fun colored paper. Play dough, coloring books and of course, gum :) Dress up necklaces for the girls, and a couple trucks for Andrew. I get most of the stuff at the dollar store to keep the cost low, but still able to get a lot of fun goodies for the kids. We will also pack some of their toys and I am finishing a quilt for each of them this year. I love seeing their faces as they see their "Feast goodies"!  We don't get them toys, because between the Grandparents and Aunties, they load up :-P and this way, they have quite things to do during church services, as well as the drive there and back.

 This year, we made postcards out of one of my photo (above) we took in Glacier National Park a couple of Feasts ago. We are sending theses to people who can not attend the Feast and have to stay home. Check out Zazzle for more ideas! They have super fast service and the quality is amazing. They did not pay me to say that, 100% our opinion! We decided to go this route, because I always PLAN on making cards, but never get to it. Its was worth the $25(with shipping) to have them printed for us, and its still personal, since its one of my photos.



Speaking of Feasts. Heres to everyone, wishing you a Happy Feast Of Trumpets! We are not going to be making it to church services in person tomorrow. We are so thankful for the internet and being able to "attend" and be fed, even when all three of the kids are snot heads!  Plus side to a cold now, is that we will all be healthy at Tabernacles.

Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread

May we all remember what this time is for.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
