My all time favorite soup has got to be french onion. :) So I will share my recipe.
6 large onions cut into small slices
3 table spoons butter or oil
cook over med heat until onions are brownish
add in
4 cups beef beef broth
2 tsp dried garlic (or about 2 gloves)
pinch of hot pepper flakes (not needed)
salt and pepper to taste
Simmer for about 10-15 mins.
Now you can use bread be we don't. I just add a couple slices of swiss cheese to my bowl and enjoy that way! :)
