"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Introducing..........

Opal

We have been talking about getting a milk goat for almost a year now. Aaron and, I am pretty sure, Clara and Andrew have problems with Dairy. God provided this sweet heart for us. She was a great deal, and is due to kid in about a month. She is a Nigerian Dwarf/Alpine and somethign else cross. She is a smaller goat, perfect for our lot! We found her on Craigslist and when we went to see her today, it turns out we knew the family a bit! How fun and what a small world.

So now on out little town farm we have 9 hens, 2 ducks, one crazy basset hound and two parakeets! The girls are very excited, I cant wait to see their faces when the baby/babies are born. She is going to be our resident lawn mower this summer!

Aaron and I both grew up on small farms and so miss having animals. So, if you are in the area, and are instrested in milk, please leave a comment with a way to contact you if and when we have an abundance.
