"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Smart Cookies and a Dress

Yesterday we had to run into town for a few groceries, chicks, feed and tabs for the rig. For a while now we have talked with the girls about Clean and Unclean foods (Liv. 11). They have them down pretty well, and are always asking if this or that is clean. Well, we passed a Red Lobster in our travels and Clara said "Some people eat crabs. They don't know what God says." (pause as she was thinking) Then to her sister, " Sissy, we tell them!"
They have to get right idea! I love hearing that they are getting what we teach them! They Love God and His ways! Oh the responsibility of us parents to keep that flame alive. Aaron and I pray every day for wisdom and guidance to raise the kids to honor and worship Him, living His ways!

This is the dress I just made for Clara, I am working of Flora's today: (Sorry for the bad pictures)
Back with tie, the black lines will be gone after it gets washed. :)

Front. Sorry for the dark pictures, my cameras flash was to bright.

Front neck line. The neck and sleeves are gathered with a ribbon, the sleeves have a button that matches the ones on the back, those pictures didn't turn out. She also has a cream colored apron to wear with it.

She tried it on this morning, but was in a mood and didn't want me to take her picture, so I will get one of both the girls this Sabbath when they are all ready for church.

  1. CUTE dress! Can't wait to see a smiling face in it. And the matching one next to her! You and Aaron are doing a great job teaching your sweet babes! :D

  2. Thanks Annie! Clara was very against me taking her picture this morning for some silly reason! She usually love to have it done. Oh, well :)
