I dont know about you, but I dont use this all that often. When I do want to make somthing with it, I bulk at paying over $2 a can for it! So this morning, when a recipe I was making called for it, I googled how to make my own!
I must say, I am very happy with the recipe and its QUICK!
1/3 cup boiling water
1/4 soft butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dry skim milk
(= one 14 oz can)
Mix together first 4 things until well mixed. Add in milk and mix until smooth. Cool to room temp. This is nice and think and will keep in the frig for 2 weeks or in the freezer.
We like it better then the canned stuff, its not as sweet!
Off to finish deleavening my kitchen! Almost done. How are you all doing?

What a great recipe! I, too, use it sometimes and hate paying $2 for a tiny can. I will deffinatly use this!
