"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Letters From Nana

Something happens every week here in our house. Something special, wonderful and a memory maker. The kids get letters from Nana.
Nana is my mom and every Sabbath she writes each of the kids a letter, and then some time the next week, they arrive at out house.
The day the letters arrive, they see the envelops and shout " Nana!"
We sit down with each of the kids, one at a time, and read the letters.
Then they sit down and very serisouly "read" their letting on their own. Usually a  mix up repeat of what was written, and sometimes, some random things thrown in. It's adorable!

After they are done looking over their letters, we put the letter's in each child's box.

Clara: Red
Andrew: Blue
Flora: Orange

Then they are set up for safe keeping until a quite moment when they ask to get their letter boxes down and read.

It's a wonderful, special way for Nana to connect and love on her grand-babies, even from over 6 hours way!
