"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

There's Just Something About a Boy Book Review

Reviewed by Amber:
I usually post my book reviews on a different page here on the blog, but I love this book a lot, and wanted to post it here. Any Mama who has a son (or sons) needs to read this sweet book. Even better, cuddle up with your boy and read it to them. :) Mine is three so is very willing to cuddle, if yours is in his 20's or so it might take a little bribery. Joking aside, you will need your tissues as it will bring joyful tears to your eyes. After all, there's just something about a boy.....

AND NOW...THE FIRST PAGES (click illustrations to enlarge):

Recalling the moment, that special day
Your tiny image took my breath away.
A precious baby with nothing to hide,
My sweet, little son nestled inside.
There’s just something about a boy…

I prepared your nursery
since around month five,
Waiting for the day
you’d finally arrive.
Stuffed animals, blankies,
your daddy’s first glove--
They sat in your room,
awaiting your love.
There’s just something
about a boy…
