"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Fit Fridays~ Week 4.

These are my thoughts on getting in shape.

For the longest time I though I was being a bad wife and mom if I took time for myself, an hour a day, and worked out. I felt guilty about it. See I am funny. I like to do it on my own, not in front of a bunch of people. I dont mind the gem, because everyone is focused on THEIR work out, not me. Well, the more I though about it, prayed and studied, I discovered I was being a bad wife and mother if I DIDN'T take the time. You see, I am called to be a helper to my husband and to raise and teach my children. I am also told my body is a temple. How can I be those things, and take care of the body God gave me, if I let my self get SO out of shape??? In a world were we are the fattest nation, I needed to do something (!) or I would just be another one of the crowed. Not something I want, not something God wants. So I started to DO. I take about an hour every evening and work out. Either walking, pilates, or both. I joined Weight Watchers and started making sure I am eating good, wholesome, foods. As close to the way God made then as possible. We got a membership to the local Wellness center, where they have a huge pool, hot tub, kiddy pool and other equipment to help me achieve my goal.

Here this weeks loss.

Week: 3 lbs
1 inch off waist and 2 off arms.

4 week total: 19 lbs.

What are some of your favorite whole some recipes/foods?
